Adalah (“Justice” in Arabic) is an independent human rights organisation and legal centre established in 1996 and based in Haifa, Israel. Adalah is the first and only Palestinian organisation that works to protect and defend the human rights of Palestinian citizens of Israel and the rights of individuals living in the 1967 Occupied Territories before Israeli courts and state authorities.

Adalah’s pioneering impact litigation has resulted in precedent-setting decisions that made substantial change on the ground, and that empower the people in their struggle against discrimination and gross human rights violations, and for equality, justice, and dignity. The Palestinian leadership in Israel views Adalah as the “legal arm” of the community.
